Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point is seeking a Network Technician to join our team. The Network Technician is responsible for the installation, testing and hardening of network equipment, servers, workstations and other rack-mounted equipment; associated ancillary electronic equipment and cabling per engineering specifications and operational procedures on customer property. Network Technician, optimization, cyber security, and maintenance in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, SQL Server, IIS, and other related enterprise systems. Support Daily Migration Activities; LDAP integration, Certificates, Group Policy Admin, Domain Controller deployment and support, custom schema extensions, ADFS, PKI, and DNS, user login scripts.

Assembles and installs equipment to include workstations, servers, switches, routers, audio-visual, and ancillary equipment. Performs testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards, all with little or no support. Utilizes troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques to isolate and resolve system and customer issues during initial implementation. Prepares written documentation to drawings, test and troubleshooting procedures. Assist with U.S. Army policy requirements to maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO). Other duties may be assigned as needed in the future by management.

Essential qualifications for this position include:
  • Provides network systems support
  • Basic understanding of: Network fundamentals (Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing)
  • Disconnect, move and connect equipment to networks
  • Install, configure, and maintain systems
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software, hardware, and network anomalies
  • Experience with server patch management methodologies
  • Knowledge of integrating Exchange and Active Directory
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting DNS and general email routing problems and irregularities
  • Troubleshoot network issues
  • Knowledge of AD databases and logs, mail routing, and protocol support
  • Continuous self-training for evolving technologies and products
  • Provide OJT to other team members
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform required maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently
