Description Network Systems Engineer - Supporting Air Combat Command's Mission Leidos is seeking a passionate and skilled Network Systems Engineer to enhance and maintain our networks supporting the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance mission. As a key member of the Project BOCKSCAR team, your responsibilities will include:
- Being the central point for network improvement and certification initiatives.
- Ensuring uninterrupted operations and strategic advancements of the BOCKSCAR network.
- Overseeing mobile device management services, including application integration and setup of mission-critical devices.
- Making critical decisions on network upgrades and Electronic Flight Bag program approvals.
- Providing valuable technical insights to support warfighters effectively.
Your impact will be significant as you:
- Maintain and control the BOCKSCAR network and all related equipment.
- Manage mobile electronic devices utilized by over 3,200 Air Force personnel.
- Plan and execute upgrades for the BOCKSCAR network and Electronic Flight Bag program.
- Collaborate with essential Air Force teams, including 55 OG STAN/EVAL and 55 WG Innovations Team.
- Keep leaders, aircrews, and contractors informed on crucial system updates.
- Create and update technical documents, network maps, and mission-critical reports.
- Conduct thorough network and mobile device testing, troubleshooting, and recovery operations.
- Present critical updates and briefings to senior military stakeholders.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience with waiver) and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Current Secret Clearance is required; must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
- IAT Level 2 certification (Sec+) is mandatory.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with network systems.
- Expertise in Apple iOS, OSX, and familiarity with Air Force publications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Innovative and independent self-starter with problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, including delivering presentations to senior leadership.
Preferred Skills That Enhance Your Application: - Experience with AGILE and DEVOPS methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of networking architectures.
- Project Management acumen.
- Understanding of Information Assurance practices (IATT/ATO).
- Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions.
- Ability to create Apple iOS profiles.
- Knowledge of Air Force Publication Operations.
