Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Technology Services, provides desktop hardware and software support. Services equipment and provides technical support to employees. Assists in the monitoring, upgrading and troubleshooting of the network. Fields helpdesk calls and handles support to the network users. Assists in setting up and maintaining hardware. Uses independent judgment in setting work priorities. Handles confidential information.
Relationships:
Internal: Communicates and interacts with staff at all levels, including the Director of Technology Services, and desktop users.
External: Communicates with computer equipment manufacturers and other vendors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Director of Technology Services in providing network services, which include network design, technical support, and network troubleshooting.
2. Responds to telephone calls and e-mail from users with data communications problems. Assists users in identifying and solving data communications problems.
3. Identifies areas of operation, which need upgraded equipment (such as network equipment, workstations, cables etc.)
4. Assists staff in the installation of computer equipment and related peripherals.
5. Detects, proactively, source of problems and performs necessary corrective actions.
6. Identifies available resources to resolve technical issues and verifies that it has been resolved.
7. Assists in the general IT support of the company's internal and external services.
8. Helps in the installation, troubleshooting, configuration and upgrading of hardware and software.
9. Assists with the day-to-day end-user troubleshooting, system and software deployment coordination, asset management, data security, and future planning.
10. Supports and maintains Active Directory/Azure Entra ID and Windows Server (2019 and newer).
11. Supports, troubleshoots and configures Cisco firewall, VPN, Microsoft Cloud Applications such as Offic365, Azure cloud environment, Windows 10/11, Server 2019 and newer.
Other Assigned Duties:

Qualifications:
Associate degree in related field, or equivalent training and work experience.
Completion of appropriate vocational instruction courses or equivalent training and work experience.
Minimum two years experience in a business computer environment, including experience with personal computers, networking connectivity and functionality, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows client operating systems and Windows server operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Manager, Windows Server Cluster, iSCSI storage solutions are considered a plus.
CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA, Microsoft Azure certifications are considered a plus.
Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
Security fundamental background is a plus.
