Key Responsibilities: - Network Support: Provide assistance and coordinate actions during network outages to ensure immediate resolution.
- System Administration: Manage and support around 50 CISCO network devices across several security domains.
- Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations, monitor system performance, and actively resolve issues to maintain optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, manage event notifications, and address customer network issues.
- Collaboration: Engage in departmental and cross-functional initiatives to enhance network performance and reliability.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with over 2 years of practical experience in Network Administration focusing on LAN technologies; equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education.
- Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required within 90 days from the date of hire.
- Expertise in TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis.
- Competence in configuring CISCO devices using EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP, dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, access control lists, and various routing protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and proficiency in multi-protocol routing, including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN.
