Description The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a skilled Network Support Technician Level II to enhance our computer data communications systems. This role involves contributing to design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks, while planning and implementing vital upgrades. You will also analyze and organize hardware and software solutions through effective network modeling.
As a Network Support Technician Level II, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices for our clients.
- Responding to and efficiently resolving incident tickets.
- Drafting and implementing standard network change requests.
- Providing assistance to Tier III network engineers with incident management and various projects, including site surveys and new equipment installations.
- Conducting configuration management functions, such as updating topology drawings, ensuring the accuracy of asset management records, and managing inventory.
- Coordinating network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades; familiarity with CISCO/Juniper RMA processes is beneficial.
- Possessing Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (e.g., CAT5, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP).
- Configuring and troubleshooting layer 2 switching, including VLANs, Port Security, and Thin Configs.
- Having knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade, and Foundry OS.
- Being familiar with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, and GRE is a plus. Knowledge of tools like Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence is also beneficial.
- May require up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities.
Requirements - Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
- Candidates should have 10 years of experience, which could be a combination of work history and education (Doctorate and 3 years, Master's and 4 years, Bachelor's and 6 years, Associate's and 8 years, or HS Diploma and 10 years).
- Must comply with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 standards.
- Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model is essential.
- Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals is required.
- Ability to travel 25 percent of the time is necessary.
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required to be considered for this position.
- This role requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week at our posted location. No relocation assistance is offered.

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
