Leidos' Defense Systems Land Division is on the lookout for a Network Support Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with IT and engineering professionals to design, deploy, maintain, and configure an expanding infrastructure that supports a secure, high-availability, real-time wide-area network (WAN) across multiple platforms and sites. You will work comfortably on various support levels, from troubleshooting and resolving network issues to the installation and configuration of network hardware and software from commercial vendors. You will also provide valuable updates to management for their strategic planning.

As you navigate through assigned and self-initiated projects, your independent judgment will be essential in managing resources, schedules, and workloads. This position may require travel to various regional sites and the ability to handle network equipment, PCs, and peripherals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily operational support for network activities, including monitoring performance, identifying issues, and resolving incidents.
  • Integrate infrastructure based on high-level design plans, overseeing the acquisition and installation processes.
  • Document and track both the physical and logical configurations of infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network systems as needed, coordinating improvements where applicable.
  • Manage change and status accounting related to network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and services procurement.
  • Offer help desk support to assist users in resolving infrastructure-related issues.
  • Develop and document scripts or utility programs to enhance infrastructure monitoring.
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for both management and customer review.
  • Travel to field sites for ISP circuit activation and troubleshooting as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, and the ability to maintain that clearance.
  • Current Security+ Certification is required.
  • Must be a resident of Bowie, MD, or be willing to relocate to the Bowie, MD area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current CCNA Certification.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with radar programs.
  • Previous military experience is a plus.
  • Ability to create detailed design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documents.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
