Description Join the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos as a Network Solutions Architect, where you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of diverse wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs). As an integral part of our team, you will provide expert-level routing support across an enterprise-level infrastructure with varying classifications, utilizing expertise in routing technologies from multiple vendors.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the operations and maintenance of Juniper and Cisco routers, focusing on troubleshooting at both layer 2 and layer 3 levels while implementing necessary routing changes.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, latency problems, and asymmetric routing challenges.
- Implement routing protocols and tackle troubleshooting related to OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, and VPN.
- Facilitate technical exchange meetings to collaboratively address issues affecting ISPs and application owner concerns.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring network issues as part of problem management.
- Provide day-to-day operations and maintenance support for incident management and outages.
- Collaborate effectively with IT staff on various projects and initiatives.
- Engage with relevant technical support teams to address network traffic concerns.
- Utilize monitoring tools and log collectors for in-depth analysis of traffic anomalies and issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Desirable but not mandatory experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Forcepoint firewall equipment and applications is a plus.
Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.
- 16 years of professional experience, which can include relevant work history and education. Options include: Doctorate plus 8 years, Master's plus 10 years, Bachelor's plus 12 years, Associate's plus 14 years, or HS diploma plus 16 years.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 Certification (such as Security+).
Additional Qualifications: - Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPN, VRF, and MPLS.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, IP subnetting, Network Address Translation (NAT), and security technologies.
- Proven ability to engineer and adjust rulesets for accommodating new customer connectivity requirements.
- Expert in reading, understanding, and developing schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation for effective equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
