Network Security Engineer with Security Clearance

Oneida Technical Solutions (OTS) is a tribally-owned 8(a) certified IT Network and Telecommunications Services company, wholly owned and operated by the Oneida Nation of New York through Oneida Nation Enterprises, LLC. Headquartered in Oneida, New York, OTS is the direct parent company of Croop-LaFrance, Inc. Our Senior Network Security Engineer will serve as the Government's point of contact and provide knowledge, techniques, or expertise in the specific subject area. The SME functions as the organizational ambassador for his/her knowledge area, and he/she applies his/her expertise to support the organization's vision and strategic direction. Core duties of this position involve design and implementation of desired capabilities, documenting the security controls and testing of those controls, and helping CIO/G6 emplace continuous monitoring capabilities for configuration, operations, and security of the West Point Educational Research Network . The Network Security SME shall have experience in the following management and technical areas: Demonstrated excellence in understanding, articulating, and implementing best practices as it relates to complex IT projects and can resolve an organizational need and actively participates in all phases of an educational network development life cycle. Responsible for helping other educational networking stakeholders define business requirements and recommending a technical approach to meet those needs in a manner appropriate to a federal undergraduate college. Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, project managers, engineers and senior staff members, department computer officers (DCOs), and representatives of the Military Academy Directorates (MADs). The nature of the position involves actively participating in multiple work groups at one time and disseminating information across all levels of the organization. Articulate and communicates information effectively to diverse audiences. Translates subject matter terminology into business terms, and recommends alternatives to both senior management and security practitioners. Knowledge of configuration management and quality assurance concepts and guidelines such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Institute of Electrical, and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), and Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). CISM, CISSP or equivalent cyber security certification is required. CCNA or other CISCO certifications are required Knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-53 preferred. Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (e.g., DoD Instruction 8510.01) preferred. Knowledge of network design and operations. Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications. Knowledge of network security. Knowledge of help desk support and operation.
