The Pencoed facility focuses on manufacturing high-tech Broadcast and Professional Cameras, including industry-leading 4K technology. We also offer contract manufacturing solutions for various non-Sony brands, contributing to successes like the Raspberry Pi. Additionally, we host a Sony customer service and solutions centre, a business incubation centre, and more.
Role Overview:
We are looking to strengthen our network team with a focus on security. The Network Security Engineer will be essential in safeguarding and improving our factory's network infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, efficient networks to meet operational needs, ensuring system reliability, optimizing performance, and proactively addressing vulnerabilities. The role involves collaboration with internal teams to ensure the network is robust, secure, and compliant with high security standards, implementing best practices and advanced security protocols to protect critical network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Security: Implement and maintain security policies for our network infrastructure.
- Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor performance, resolve issues, conduct audits, and update Cisco equipment.
- Network Optimisation: Plan and deploy capacity upgrades supporting business growth and performance.
- Research and Development: Recommend and integrate new network technologies to enhance security and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with global teams to implement designs and ensure adherence to standards.
Minimum qualifications include a degree in IT or a related Network discipline. Preferred certifications are CCNA and PCNSA. Essential skills include proficiency in TCP/IP, DHCP, OSPF, VPN, VLANs, DNS, and experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, AWS/Azure, Cisco, and Cisco Meraki. Knowledge of IDS/IPS and endpoint security solutions is also required. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting, communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure both independently and in a team.
