We are supporting a leading utilities provider searching for a Network Security Engineer to join the team. This is an initial 6-month contract with the scope to be extended.
Key responsibilities
- Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or similar role within enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Fortinet FortiGate solutions.
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot next-generation firewalls (NGFW), particularly Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, audits, and optimisation to enforce least privilege access.
- Experience with Prisma Access and secure access service edge (SASE) frameworks.
- Strong understanding of network architecture principles, including segmentation, zero trust, and high availability designs.
- Some out-of-hours work is expected at weekends/evenings for production migrations.
