Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Phoenix AZ, Lone Tree CO or Westlake TX

Job Description


Network Security Engineer is an individual contributor supporting various network security technologies. This role works with various technology and security teams on the engineering and implementation of technology solutions and methodologies to ensure visibility, secure connectivity, and service availability. Engineering, implementing, and maintaining network security capabilities including segmentation, zero trust, network and platform resiliency, enhanced network visibility and implementation of solutions to address security control gaps. Collaborating with product and project teams to understand needs and enablement with security products. Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root cause in helping application teams and end users. A proven track record of experience implementing and maintaining network security solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Document and implement configuration changes in support of Zscaler.
  • Provide support and resolution for trouble tickets and incidents relating to Zscaler.
  • Perform troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve connectivity or performance issues relating to Zscaler.
  • Troubleshoot systems and network connectivity issues using various tools and systems such as logging.
  • Pre-production application testing and triage.
  • Working knowledge of: Endpoints (Windows, Mac, mobile devices), Networking, Remote access, and Proxy.
  • Evaluate and implement enhancements in segmentation in alignment with concepts of least privilege.
  • Enable and deploy Zero Trust security. Enhance cyber resilience capabilities of the Network security team's platforms.
  • Assist in addressing any findings and action plans regarding issues or control gaps.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required:

  • Experience at least 6 10 years working in network security.
  • Experience at least 2 years with supporting Zscaler ZCC Agent.
  • Experience at least 2 years with configuring and supporting Zscaler Internet Access ZIA.
  • Experience at least 2 years with configuring and supporting Zscaler Private Access ZPA.
  • Experience at least 2 years with utilization of Zscaler ZDX for user diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work.

Preferred: Zscaler certifications preferred. Security+, CISSP, or other relevant information security industry recognized certification
