Piper Companies is seeking a
Network Security Consultant to join a global cybersecurity consulting organization. The
Network Security Consultant will implement security measures to protect network integrity and data confidentiality.
This position will be hybrid in New York City. Responsibilities of the Network Security Consultant include: - Network Security Expertise: Understand the concept of Network Security and OSI 7 layers.
- Implement security measures to protect network integrity and data confidentiality.
- Palo Alto Technologies: Familiar with Panorama and SCM interfaces for centralized management and configuration.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto NextGen features, such as SWG, SSL decryption, WildFire, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Troubleshoot traffic issues using traffic logs and identify potential security threats.
- Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure optimal firewall performance.
- Routing and Configuration: Understand dynamic/static routing and how it works in Palo Alto firewalls.
- Configure address objects and groups to streamline network management.
- PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) is preferred .
Qualifications for the Network Security Consultant include: - Experience with network security protocols and best practices.
- Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential security vulnerabilities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management: Experience in planning and executing firewall deployment projects.
Compensation for the Network Security Consultant includes: - $55/hr - $60/hr
