Job Summary: The Security Analyst will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures for information systems and infrastructures, utilizing the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks. This role involves supporting the implementation and management of secure system development lifecycle processes, performing technical security assessments, and assisting in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Key Responsibilities: - Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Assist with the implementation and management of the Client Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- System Security Plans: Coordinate with agency personnel and external vendors to implement system security plans.
- User Collaboration: Confer with users to discuss issues related to account permissions, data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
- Security Safeguards: Follow plans to safeguard information systems from unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure, ensuring systems meet emergency data processing needs.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Participate in the development of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Security Assessments: Perform and review technical security assessments of new and existing applications and systems, including evaluating data center physical security and environment.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor†s Degree.
Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in information security.
Knowledge: Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Additional work experience in IT security, system development, or related fields is a plus.
Certifications (if any): Associate of ISC2
