About the Role: In this position, you will assist both internal and external clients with network surveillance, troubleshoot technical issues, process customer tickets, and engage with telecommunication carriers and hardware vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting client devices and network infrastructures.
This role operates in a 24/7 Network Operations Control environment, and we currently have openings for the night shift, with the possibility of transitioning to morning and afternoon shifts later. Our office locations include Chicago, Hammond, Nashua, and Albuquerque, and you will be required to work on a hybrid schedule.
Requirements: - Associate degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- One or more certifications such as CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
- A strong desire to learn and participate in vendor certification courses (bonus incentives for certifications).
- Proficiency with software tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and internet browsers.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good telephone etiquette.
- A team-oriented mindset and an understanding of its significance.
- 1-2 years of experience in networks, network management, or a NOC environment.
- Knowledge of the OSI and Networking models, routers, switches, firewalls, IDP/IDS, Linux, and Windows platforms.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and techniques, including traffic analyzers like Wireshark, SNMP utilities, and CLI commands.
- Solid understanding of modern IP networking, both IPv4 and IPv6.
- Commitment to working in a collaborative environment focused on various security aspects.

Preferred Skills: - Experience in security incident handling, intrusion prevention, compliance, and firewall management.
- Hands-on experience with F5 Big-IP, JunOS, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Palo Alto, Riverbed, and Sourcefire platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with monitoring technologies like SNMP, syslog, WMI, and both open-source and enterprise monitoring systems.
- 1-3 years of practical experience with Linux systems is required.
- Certifications in CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
