Your next big opportunity awaits. Join the Multi-domain Solutions Division within the Leidos National Security Sector as a Network Operations Specialist. In this vital role, you will support critical government systems as part of a groundbreaking cybersecurity program. You will be integral to the development, integration, delivery, and maintenance of IT managed security services that enhance monitoring and situational awareness of cybersecurity threats across the enterprise. This position is in anticipation of a future contract award.
Key Responsibilities: - Support the implementation, security, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Utilize expertise in network architecture, security, automation, and cloud networking to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor operations, troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and guide IT teams towards best practices.
- Deploy and maintain enterprise-level LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks.
- Manage and enhance network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Oversee cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including hybrid cloud integrations.
- Design and enforce network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust security models.
- Implement and maintain network security best practices, firewall policies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk mitigation activities.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and address network threats.
- Monitor network traffic, bandwidth usage, and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.
- Automate network configurations and management tasks using scripting tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Enhance VoIP, QoS, and video conferencing solutions for effective communication.
- Lead incident response efforts for significant network outages, security breaches, or performance issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex Layer 2/3 network issues, coordinating with vendors as necessary.
- Develop disaster recovery and failover strategies to ensure network resilience.
What we need from you: - Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Additional Qualifications Preferred: - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP) or Expert (JNCIE).
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with a focus on networking.

Pay Range: Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
