A Tier I/II Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is needed for a hybrid role based in Nashville, TN. The position focuses on delivering high-quality technical support within a fast-paced service provider environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills and technical proficiency in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing platforms.
- Monitor network infrastructure, respond to alerts, and restore service within SLAs.
- Troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
- Manage multiple incidents with accurate documentation and communication.
- Escalate unresolved issues and assist in infrastructure upgrades.
- Contribute to internal documentation and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
- 4+ years in technical support or NOC environments.
- 2+ years of LAN/WAN network troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and network monitoring.
- Experience with VoIP systems is a plus.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Certifications- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE 3/4, ITIL Foundations.
Work Environment- Hybrid role requiring regular onsite presence in Nashville, TN.
- Participation in rotating on-call support is required.
