Position Summary
Develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet our clients Security's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Works with Product Managers to develop hardware specifications for ARES products and projects. Keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Network management for client systems:
Ability to manage client internal IT network
Cyber Security management and oversight
Develop and support all hardware configuration for all Avert products as determined by the Product manager
Manage CUI in configuration and shipment
SW/HW install for shipping systems
HW/SW site install procedures
HW builds and documentation
HW definition, BOM creation for proposals
Create processes for delivery of software solutions that utilize required hardware for our products
Create and manage ARES demo environment onsite and/or hosted.
Support SaaS sales with our infrastructure partner (nFina) on our scalable environment
Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements
Troubleshoot, identify, and fix problems in the DevSecOps domain
Identify management concerns and problems, assess them, and offer prompt solutions and/or escalation Required Work Experience and Skills
The following skills and attributes are necessary to be successful in this position:
Experience with routers, switches, Firewalls, VPNs, Network administration, network security
Knowledge of NIST 800-171 strongly desired.
Experience with scripting languages and MS PowerShell
Experience with MS Active Directory and domains.
Familiarity with code scanning tools and ability to assist in prioritization of remediation of findings.
Ability to monitor network security systems, summarize results with dashboards or other tools and report to C-suite on a weekly basis.
Familiarity with Penetration testing tools such as MITRE ATT&CK and developing remediation strategies, POAM, and implementation of the POAM.
Interpersonal skills in supporting internal stakeholders, customers, and support contractors.
Knowledge of systems and tools that can augment network management and security.
Familiarity with tools such as Bitdefender and Manage Engine or similar.
Operating system knowledge for Linux and MS Windows server and desktop systems.
Experience managing desktop support
Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels
Solid level of proficiency with network security technologies.
Documentation expertise including developing procedures, policies, and auditable artifacts particularly related to cyber security.
Excellent written, presentation, negotiation and verbal communication skills a must. Location and Travel Requirements
Location: Must work out of the Vienna, VA USA Corporate office Travel will be required, regional and occasional international (up to 25% depending on project requirements).
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
US Citizen
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Science, electrical engineering, etc.). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role with a hardware, software, IT or systems engineering company.
