Department: Supply Chain Retailer
Position: Network & Fulfilment Planning Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a supply chain network plan to support the growth of the Company in the United Kingdom.
- Adapt network capacity plans to ensure local delivery in conjunction with structuring a strategic 3-year plan.
- Create accurate assessments and recommendations for change and investment proposals related to the supply chain infrastructure and fulfilment modelling.
- Identify tactical opportunities to reduce capacity constraints to support on-going stock flow, particularly during peak trading periods.
- Lead and coach a high performing team, setting an example for others.
- Engage stakeholders across Merchandise, Finance, Distribution, Retail Operations, and third-party providers to achieve buy-in and influence future performance.
- Design and implement planning and process tools to improve flexibility of the DC network.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure stock flow and availability targets are met with customer-friendly solutions.
- Make recommendations to improve processes and systems deployed in Distribution Centres.
- Plan inbound, outbound, and reverse flow volume performance by setting clear KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Ensure continuous improvement in analytical modelling and reporting for better decision making.
- Review performance and achieved KPIs, proposing actions to recover risks and maximize improvement opportunities.
- Develop capability and performance of direct reports, ensuring consistent demonstration of company values.
Qualifications:
- Experienced knowledge of retail supply chains including strategy, planning, operations, stock management, and analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering significant change and network improvement within a large organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills; a team player with the ability to influence and present to senior levels, including UK Board level.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and diligent with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in delivering performance improvements.
- Good IT and numerical skills, particularly with MS Office packages.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- High understanding of Third Party Logistics and the UK distribution landscape, including inventory and working capital challenges.
