Visit for more details. Responsibilities Arcfield is seeking a Senior Network engineer. The key responsibilities are listed below. Key Responsibilities: Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networks
Configures and manages network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN devices
Implements network security measures including access controls, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption
Monitors network performance and troubleshoots issues to maintain high availability and reliability
Oversees the deployment of new network technologies and upgrades to existing infrastructure
Develops and documents network architecture, standards, and best practices
Provides technical leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers and IT support staff
Collaborates with other IT teams (systems, security, infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration
Maintains thorough knowledge of network protocols, topologies, and emerging networking trends
Researches, tests, and recommends new network hardware, software, and services
Assists with capacity planning, budgeting, and vendor management for network projects
Ensures network documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base are up-to-date
Participates in on-call rotation and responds to after-hours network emergencies
Occasional travel (10-20%)
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of progressive experience as a network engineer or administrator (BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2)
Must possess and have the ability to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with poly
Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching, firewalls, and VPNs
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technology, network security, and network management principles
Hands-on experience with major enterprise network hardware/software vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Proficient with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools
Ability to design and document complex network architectures and solutions
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Industry certifications (CCNP, JNCIA, CISSP, etc.) required
