Network Engineer - Capital City Bank - More than your bank, your bankerHours Mon - Fri 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.General Summary As a Network Engineer you will be tasked with developing and managing our network infrastructure to support business operations and objectives. This includes configuring network devices, ensuring network security, and optimizing performance to meet the Bank's requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Install all new routers, switches, and wireless APs for network infrastructure.
2. Manages the Network Access Control solution (802.1x authentication).
3. Manages day-to-day network infrastructure consisting of routers, switches, MPLS and SD-WAN networks, wireless, network access control, and network monitoring tools.
4. Perform troubleshooting analysis for network related issues.
5. Follow change control procedures for effective risk mitigation.
6. Requires a thorough knowledge of networking design and protocols.
7. Strong analytical abilities.
8. Provide support to the IT Helpdesk and internal clients as needed.
For key positions within Capital City Bank that manage, oversee, and mitigate risk, or have direct oversight of associates who perform these duties, training and/or certifications may be needed to ensure the Bank is adhering to the best and most current information security practices.

Associated Duties Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required The following KSAs are usually acquired through college education with specialized emphasis in network systems and three to five years LANS/WANS experience.
1. Certifications: CCNA or CCNP
2. Networking: Switches, Routers, Servers, Cables, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, OSPF, and BGP.
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology required. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.
Working Conditions 1. Often required to work in and around desks, cubicles and other small spaces.
2. Late or after-five hours sometimes required.
3. Occasional travel in and out of home area.
4. In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
