Pending Award MUST reside in Washington DC metro area The Network Engineer, Senior is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of all enterprise-level IT operations including virtualized infrastructure, Network Operations Center, Security Operations Center, and direct experience overseeing the execution of complex technical projects in IT infrastructure migration and cloud. The Network Engineer designs, implements, and manages operational processes and procedures to ensure the reliable delivery of IT services, including overseeing networks, servers, databases, and critical IT components. The Network Engineer ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols, implementing best practices for cybersecurity and disaster recovery. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, The Network Engineer aligns operational activities with the organization's strategic objectives and contributes insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization ensuring reliable and secure delivery of services vital to mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in hybrid environments. Support configuration, monitoring, and management of routers, firewalls, switches, and VPNs. Experience overseeing the execution of complex technical projects in IT infrastructure migration and cloud. Perform troubleshooting and resolution of network-related incidents and performance issues. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to ensure end-to-end service availability. Implement security controls such as zero-trust, segmentation, ACLs, and encrypted transport. Maintain documentation and support lifecycle management of network hardware and services. Education AND Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Networking, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems. ITIL v4 Foundation Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Architect Professional (CCNA) Certification in Multi-Cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
