Your Responsibilities: - Work closely with a watch team to manage responses to network outages, collaborating with Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP Construction, and local Operations Engineers for prompt resolutions.
- Ensure daily operations run smoothly by monitoring, detecting, and resolving performance issues across servers, systems, and applications to maintain optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network outages while communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Address network performance escalations with a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring customer issues are managed until resolution.
- Engage in departmental and special projects to showcase your network engineering expertise.
What You'll Need to Succeed: - An active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in Network Administration. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Current IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification - must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Experience with TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, vulnerability analysis, and remediation.
- Proficiency in configuring CISCO devices and familiar with various networking protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, showcasing your capacity to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and multi-protocol routing, including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
