Omitron is seeking a Network Engineer to support operations at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining mission-critical network infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring network hardware and software, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT teams to support a classified DoD customer. This position also requires occasional surge and after-hours support during test events.
This position is contingent upon contract award
Responsibilities:
- Design and plan secure, scalable network infrastructure.
- Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Implement and manage network protocols and services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues.
- Maintain and update network documentation and configurations.
- Apply and enforce network security policies, including IDS/IPS and VPNs.
- Plan for current and future capacity needs.
- Stay current on emerging networking technologies and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 3-10 years of relevant experience, or 10+ years with no degree
- Certifications: One or more of the following:
- CCNA
- GFACT
- GSEC
- GSLC
- GCIA
- GCLD
- CASP CE
- CISSP (or Associate)
- CSSLP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced degree in a related field
- Experience: Experience supporting DoD or classified network environments
- Certifications: Multiple certifications from the list above
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
