This role will require overnight work for the initial few months but once this project is complete you would transition back to M-F 9-5. The overnight work is a network refresh in a local hospital. .


Initial few months overnight M-TH at CHOP in Phila. Some nights will be full 8 hour shift where some other nights could only be 3-4 hours.


Sr. Network Engineer:

  • Active Cisco CCNP Certification preferred
  • Advanced Troubleshooting experience in large enterprise networks.
  • Experience with CMDBs and ITOMs (ServiceNow)
  • Interface with Network Architects as well as Network Administrators

  • Advanced Troubleshooting experience in large enterprise networks
  • Produce and maintain documentation related to all systems developed/deployed
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Experience:

  • Experience deploying Cisco Catalyst 9300 and Cisco Catalyst 9400 series switches
  • Removing & replacing line cards from Cisco Catalyst switches.
  • Switch Staging & IDF migration - Identifying IDFs requiring stacked solutions & building out switch stacks
  • Capturing data from legacy switches for upgraded switches (including: current configurations, active connections, CAM ARP table information, port statuses, VLAN details, etc.)
  • Replicate configuration of legacy devices to new designated equipment
  • Modify VLAN assignments to align with any planned VLAN consolidation and test for routing
  • Cisco route / switch experience to include configuration and troubleshooting of L2, L3, OSPF, route maps, HSRP, Spanning Tree, VRF, GRE tunnels.
