Position Overview:

• Hands-on professional who thrives in the field handling network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting across diverse environments, particularly outside of core data centers.
• A background in finance or experience working in financial institutions is preferred.

Pay Rate: $70.00-$75.00/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and support Cisco and Meraki network infrastructure across branch offices and distributed locations.
• Install, configure, and maintain switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
• Provide tactical, on-the-ground troubleshooting and resolve complex network issues outside the core infrastructure.
• Support site migrations, upgrades, and expansions with minimal disruption to operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure alignment with security and performance standards.
• Monitor and analyze network performance using tools like Cisco DNA, Meraki Dashboard, and other monitoring solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial industry regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (e.g., Catalyst, ISR, Palo Alto - NGFW, Panorama, Global Protect).
• Strong knowledge and experience with Meraki product suite, including dashboard management.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP).
• Experience with Wi-Fi planning, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in field environments with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly.
• Familiarity with regulatory and security requirements in financial environments (e.g., PCI, SOX, GLBA).
• Strong communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Meraki CMNA.
• Citrix experience (networking side).
• Prior experience in financial services, banking, or Fintech environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking integrations.
• Knowledge of network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Data Center and Virtual Networking (VMware networking)
