Responsibilities - Configure and optimize network switches, routers and firewalls.
- Configure Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
- Manage application layer filtering on NextGen Firewalls.
- Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking, vlans, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRFs).
- Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
- Diagnose network connectivity problems.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
- Monitor network capacity and performance.
- mitigate network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
- Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
- Configure and manage a VMware Cluster to support multiple tenant systems.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications - Master's degree in STEM AND 10 years' experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in STEM AND 12 years' experience, OR
- High school diploma and 15 years' experience as a Network Engineer
- Experience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OS
- Experience with VMware/ESXi
- Experience with Switch VLAN setup
- Experience with VMware virtual NIC config for isolation
- Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
- Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)
- Active Cisco certification
- Requires a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
