Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures, supporting both internal operations and government-sector customers. This role emphasizes network security, compliance, and performance, requiring collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet mission-critical objectives.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, configure, and implement secure network architectures for bare metal and cloud systems, ensuring compliance with government standards and security protocols. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to build and maintain incident response plans.
- Support multiple locations, troubleshoot performance issues, and manage ongoing projects to enhance network functionality. Monitor network traffic for anomalies and optimize firewall and VPN performance.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement security measures, and maintain documentation of network configurations and performance. Provide regular reports on network status and security compliance.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in threat identification and mitigation in government or classified environments.
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN concepts, secure communications, VPNs, and network troubleshooting. Experience with risk assessment, virtual networks, and system-level threat analysis.
- US Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and willingness to pursue TS/SCI clearance.
