Opportunity Details Network Engineer Highland Park, MI
Network AdministratorPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities- Design, organize, install, and support network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, WLANs, internet/intranet systems, and network segments.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network servers, including firewalls, VPN gateways, and related components.
- Provide ongoing support for SD-WAN environments and manage relationships with external communications partners.
- Administer Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Services, Group Policy, file/print, and application servers.
- Support cloud-based services such as Office 365 and identity management platforms like Okta.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing production systems in collaboration with IT teams and business units; recommend and prioritize system enhancements based on resources and business value.
- Estimate resources, develop project plans, and coordinate implementation efforts for IT initiatives.
- Work with a managed security partner to maintain network and server security and resolve incidents.
Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR high school diploma with 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in network administration or systems infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift equipment (e.g., PCs, printers) up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces (e.g., behind desks, above ceilings).
- Extensive keyboard use required.
