The National Security Sector of Leidos is seeking a skilled and fully cleared Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in collaborative environments to troubleshoot complex networking issues and implement innovative solutions. Proven hands-on experience in network engineering is essential, and experience working overseas is highly valued.

This role requires a commitment to 50% travel to overseas locations.

Our program consists of teams in multiple locations that interact regularly, often across different time zones. Therefore, strong communication skills and adaptability in teamwork and task management are critical for success in this position. The ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve timely results is greatly desired.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor the entire network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) and provide regular reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer to optimize networks and complete various tasks.
  • Ensure the network's uptime, performance, and security.
  • Document and enforce network standards diligently.
  • Manage and maintain the IP addressing schema effectively.
  • Maintain the network lab located in Chantilly, VA.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

A Bachelor's degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience, depending on education and skills. This requirement may be reduced with a Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Must possess an active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly to be eligible.
  • Active/current basic CCNA certification is required.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools is essential.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco appliances.
  • Experience with routing and switching, including knowledge of routing protocols.
  • Ability to write scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a professional demeanor with all stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.
Desired Qualifications:
  • CCNA/CCNP Security certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Juniper SRX appliances.
  • Proficiency in implementing and troubleshooting IPSec VPN tunnels.
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols, such as IPSEC, EIGRP, OSPF, and QoS.
  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting iDirect VSATs is a plus.
  • Proficient in using Solarwinds Performance Monitor and Configuration Manager.
  • Experience with AWS implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VoIP & PBX systems implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Asterisk implementation and troubleshooting.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
