Description

Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, integration and deployment of an enterprise backbone network telecommunications system for Osage Nation Information Services including but not limited to: network analysis, network design, network security, wireless communications, system design, system analysis, system administration, system improvements, automated system monitoring, 24-hour coverage (best effort), consulting and individualized training. Responsible for the telecommunications infrastructure of the Osage Nation; to include all Osage Nation buildings, all Nation sites and all cross-connect sites. Responsible for the quality and reliability of telecommunications at the Osage Nation; to include offering a voice, video and data telecommunications infrastructure that is reliable and available with 99.999% uptime.

This individual must have the ability to determine; time to resolution, possible short-term fixes, prioritize services for the critical needs of the Nation and implement corrective actions. In addition, this individual communicates to the management of Information Services and executive level staff at the Osage Nation the status of network and the repairs so that timely decisions by the Nation may be met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information Services Required
• Expertise in Dell/EMC Cyber -Vault data recovery installation and use required
• 4+ years of experience directly related to cabling, fiber, and underground infrastructure required
• 4+ years of experience working with Active Directory, RBAC, WinRM, WMI, and Group Policy required
• Fiber Channel, iSCSI, SAN/NAS troubleshooting experience required
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
• Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive application support experience.
• Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
• Good understanding of the Nation's goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• 2+ years of experience managing vendor relationships
• Project management experience is strongly desired
• Experience managing cabling and fiber infrastructure for a large enterprise or campus is required
• Knowledge of applicable data retention practices and laws.

• Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools, including SNMP and syslog, powershell.
• Client/server and operating system experience with CentOS, Windows Server, Vsphere.
• Experience working with Exchange 2010, MS SQL Server 2008, IIS, Vcenter, ESXi5.
• Working technical knowledge of current server hardware, including Cisco UCS B & C series, Dell R series.
