Network Engineer III- NOC

Description

We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer III in our Lubbock, TX, office. Responsibilities & Duties
  • Troubleshoot network and server problems.
  • Serve as one of the primary escalation points for complex network issues.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Lead meetings with NOC customers.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained on tickets.
  • Develop and train on NOC processes and procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.
  • Develop and implement advanced network solutions and architectures.
  • Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and trends.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for customer network initiatives.
Qualifications

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer/management information systems, engineering, computer science, or equivalent is required.
  • Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or a GED is required.
  • Industry-relevant certifications at the advanced level (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, etc.)
Experience:
  • Expert-level knowledge of ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, DNS, and other networking principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks at an expert level.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, and/or coding is preferred but not required.
  • Expert level understanding of multiple ISP broadband access and core technologies (Adtran, Calix, Cambium, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Arista, etc).
Skills:
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network environments.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead meetings and complex projects with customers.

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, non-supervisory.
  • Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
