JOB DESCRIPTION:
Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols, particularly BGP.
• 4+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years of automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl.
• Experience designing distributed retail networking solutions utilizing L2 and L3 protocols.
• Familiarity with white box networking platforms.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Lead development and maintenance of key system features.
• Work with other team members to investigate design approaches.
• Prototype designs and test them with teammates.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality designs against aggressive schedules.
• Design new network topologies, test them, and integrate them into existing automation frameworks.
• Provide top-level escalation support for existing networks and installations.
• Identify, develop, and deliver technical solutions that improve the availability of our wired networks.
• Understand customer needs and create technical solutions leveraging wired networking technologies.
• Identify and deliver solutions that reduce operational impact to customers and enable them with scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized solutions.
• Dive deep into complex problems to identify root causes of customer impacts, developing and delivering corrective actions.
• Evaluate new technologies, lab test/certify solutions, conduct proof of concepts, define run books, and lead pilot deployments.
• Innovate and automate infrastructure testing, deployment, operations, and life cycle management.
