SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Automation Engineer (Network) for a hybrid opportunity. The candidate will design, develop, test, implement, and support automation solutions to advance network as code initiatives. This is a hands-on role responsible for ongoing support and development of the automation platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. Required Qualifications of the Automation Engineer (Network): Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 4 years of relevant job-related experience (in lieu of a degree), or 2 years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree in a job-related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or other job-related IT experience.
Solid understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment.
Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools such as Ansible, GitHub, Python Cisco ACI and GitHub experience for Software Defined Networks.
Experience working in a fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
Experience with F5 Big-IP appliances
Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer (Network): Develop, test, debug, and maintain network automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and GitHub for Software Defined Networks (SDN) including Cisco ACI.
Work closely with analysts and team members to understand business requirements. Confer with users to gather insights and recommend improvements or necessary changes.
Modify programs according to specifications. Code and compile application software to meet timelines and budget constraints. Evaluate interrelationships among applications for potential impacts.
Create test files and data, verify logic, debug code, and document processes. Ensure applications function according to user requirements and standards.
Assist in identifying and resolving production issues. Support performance tuning and recommend feasible technical solutions. Work Location: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and as needed.) Compensation / Benefits:
