Network Automation Engineer

Job Description:
What are the top 3 skills required for this role?
1. Proficiency in Python with a focus on backend tooling and automation scripts. knowledge of GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar pipeline systems.
2. Knowledge in database backend development, including schemas and models, as well as proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, along with networking skills. Previous experience in building a CMDB database would be an added advantage. Additionally, expertise in configuring network devices for zero-touch provisioning would be highly valuable.
3. Hands-on experience/ Knowledge with Linux systems and IP networking in production environments.

Job Description/ Responsibilities
Responsibilities include developing automation for deploying and supporting highly available, scalable, and secure network infrastructure across a global footprint. This involves owning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and internal tools, as well as designing and implementing Python-based automated solutions to optimize development and operations. Collaboration with the network SRE/Architecture team to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and visibility of delivery workflows, while driving the adoption of best practices in automation, testing, and release processes

Nice to have

• Experience in network team, preferably in large-scale data center or service provider environments.

• Understating of network routing protocols: BGP (including peering strategies), OSPF, VXLAN EVPN overlays.

• Experience with data center switching platforms, especially Arista.
