Career Opportunity We are looking for candidates to fill a Certified Cisco Network Professional position at our Wallops Island, Virginia, station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island requires support in management, engineering, operations, and technical expertise for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs. This support is crucial for all Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions and projects conducted at SCSC. SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric maritime environment, aimed at developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training for the warfighter. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the designing, development, integration, and management of networks and network architectures to support future surface Navy combat systems and combat systems test infrastructure. Services consist of network design, implementation, and management, cybersecurity measures, technical support, and documentation. Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions using current and leading-edge products and technologies. Ensure network security and compliance with DoD standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network architecture with strategic goals. Provide technical guidance and support for network-related issues. Oversee network performance and security. Maintain customer relationships and ensure satisfaction with network services. Monitor network performance; manages risk and issues. Ensure timely delivery of network-related reports and products. Prepare and deliver presentations and status reports to the customer. Align activities with customer and company strategic goals. Travel This position includes a low level of travel. Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. Seven years of experience in network architecture and engineering. An additional three years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. Experience with development and integration of networks for Navy or DoD technical programs is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)-Security certification is required. Maintain a certification in accordance with DoD Manual 8140.03 for 441 Network Operations Specialist: Qualifications Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer if they do not hold an active clearance. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor or manager when not in the office. Physical Requirements Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
