Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Architect/Engineer SME to design and implement upgrades to the existing network architecture in support of a Zero-Trust Architecture modernization project. This position will be located at Langley AFB, VA and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops network and system architectures, and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements. Develops network and system element architecture and design and interface definitions. Defines network and system implementation approach and operational concept. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future network and system development. Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.
  • Interfaces with the user(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their needs.
  • Generates the highest level of requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule.
  • Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
  • Designs and develops solutions to applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
  • Develops partitioning algorithms (and other processes) to allocate all present and foreseeable requirements into discrete partitions such that a minimum of communications is needed among partitions, and between the user and the system.
Qualifications

High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience
  • Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
  • CCNP Certification or higher required
  • Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing classified networks
  • Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco, or Dell devices and management tools
  • Dee knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, and QoS.
  • Technical experience with multiple operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or ESXi
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with a Zero-Trust Architecture

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $199,260.00 /Yr.
