Paramount Unified also has a robust Early Childhood Education program for our youngest learners. District enrollment is approximately 11,500 students, of which 95% are unduplicated.
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Technology and Information Systems, the Network Engineer/Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, implementing, servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the school district's network systems and security infrastructure. This position ensures high availability, security, disaster recovery planning, software upgrades, and documentation of systems while optimizing the efficiency of network and technology services supporting students, staff, and district operations.
Additionally, the Network Engineer/Analyst will be responsible for implementing data privacy measures and cybersecurity best practices in compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), where applicable. The role requires collaboration with instructional technology teams to support digital learning initiatives and ensure that technology services align with the district's educational goals.

Salary Information:
Advanced placement on the Salary Schedule, up to Step III, may be allowed at the time of employment. To be considered for advanced placement, the prior qualifying employment must have been full-time employment within the last seven (7) years, must be completely disclosed in the application paperwork and must be properly verified in writing at the time of employment. The written verification must be on official stationery of the prior employer and must specifically state the position held, a description of duties performed and the beginning and ending dates of employment.
