Network Analyst/Data Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Network Analyst & Data Engineer. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of networking expertise and data engineering skills to support and enhance our network infrastructure and data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Analysis and Management:

Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal operation.

Configure and manage network protocols, including BGP and other routing protocols.

Collaborate with network engineers to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.

Data Engineering:

Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze network performance data.

Utilize SQL and Python to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.

Design and implement data models and databases to support network analytics and reporting.

Scripting and Automation:

Create and maintain scripts to automate network monitoring and data processing tasks.

Develop tools and dashboards to visualize network performance and data insights.

Skills and Requirements

Network Analytics

Performance Metrics: In-depth knowledge of network performance metrics and the ability to analyze and interpret these metrics to identify trends and issues.

Network Traffic Analysis: Experience with tools and techniques for analyzing network traffic patterns and identifying anomalies.

Capacity Planning: Skills in forecasting network capacity requirements based on usage trends and performance data.

Network Protocols

Routing Protocols: Expertise in configuring and managing routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

Network Security Protocols: Familiarity with network security protocols, including IPSec, SSL/TLS, and their implementation.

Protocol Analysis: Proficiency in using protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) to troubleshoot and optimize network performance.

Technical Skills

Network Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar.

Scripting for Network Automation: Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating network configuration and monitoring tasks.

Cloud Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts and experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Advanced Data Analysis

Polynomial Regression: Experience in applying polynomial regression techniques to model complex relationships in network performance data.

Correlation Analysis: Proficiency in conducting correlation analysis to identify and understand relationships between different network metrics.

Statistical Methods: Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in network data analysis.

Data Analytical Work

Data Visualization: Expertise in creating visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to present data insights effectively.

Predictive Analytics: Ability to develop predictive models to forecast network performance and potential issues.

Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar for handling large-scale network data. null
