Network Administrator
Location: Washington DC
Clearance: Minimum Top Secret security clearance.
Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $173,000. Currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator to provide sustainment and logistics services in support of Counter-UAS and traditional Airspace Security systems for a Sponsor located in Washington, DC. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is eager to enhance their technical expertise while ensuring the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of critical systems and assets. Duties to include: Implements, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, and evaluates existing and new Cisco network switches, routers, and security appliances. Assists with implementing, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating of existing and new servers and workstations operating on Windows and Linux operating systems. Responsible for maintaining network components, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of network devices. Assists with responses to directives and data calls related to information system security concerns and assists with the development of IT documentation. Supports and collaborates with information system security officials regarding Authority to Operate processes for the systems. Confers with and supports engineers, network administrators, and systems administrators regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs. Assists with the installation and setup of system operational parameters. Assists with the management of system configuration files. Assists with the management of software backups. Facilitates and supports installation projects that directly impact the systems under administration. Assists with diagnostics of IT hardware. Assists with diagnostics of Windows and Linux-based Operating Systems. Assists with hardware inspections, cleaning, and general repairs. Assists with hardware troubleshooting to the component or board level. Assists with diagnostics and troubleshooting of software issues. Occasional work may be required outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends. Requirements Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA or Cisco Certified Network Professional (Preferred).
Experience: Seven (7) years with Masters or 11 years with Bachelor's degree of experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
