Program Overview About The Role Ready to make an impact? Peraton has exciting opportunities to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, supporting mission critical space and intelligence programs, including development, deployment, operations and maintenance of satellite ground terminals and associated systems. Peraton is seeking a self-starting cleared Network Administrator in our Herndon, VA location. The Network Administrator will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Monitoring and management of network components Troubleshooting of network faults and issues Review and analysis of trends and recurring issues Planning and execution of routine software patches and firmware upgrades
Coordination with IA team to apply security patches and harden devices to baseline standards
Development and maintenance of management guides and other procedure documentation as needed
Qualifications Required Qualifications: A current Top Secret SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph
Bachelors Degree plus 5-7 years of relevant experience, Master's Degree with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Working knowledge of IP networking concepts, technologies, and protocols
Experience administering and configuring COTS network products using JUNOS, Cisco iOS, or similar operating systems
Security+ certification or equivalent or willingness to get certified within 6 months of accepting the positionDesired Qualifications: CCNA or equivalent certification demonstrating network expertise
Experience with Cisco ASA and / or Firepower Firewalls
Experience with Juniper switches (e.g., QFX5110, EX4300 platforms)
Familiarity with SATCOM or other forms of wireless communications
Experience hardening network devices per DISA STIG requirements
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
