Summary: We are seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain internal and external networks for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network security, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users. Key Responsibilities:
Establish, configure, maintain, and support internal and external organizational networks.
Develop and maintain systems, applications, security measures, and network configurations.
Conduct network capacity and performance analysis to ensure efficient operations.
Recommend upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment to improve network functionality.
Direct and support network control functions to ensure service quality levels are met.
Troubleshoot network performance issues, recommending corrective actions.
Identify and resolve server hardware/software issues, ensuring scalability and integration.
Provide technical support and guidance to network users.
Optimize network and system functionality, diagnosing and recovering failed systems.
Implement and maintain network security protocols in compliance with IA/CND policies.
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
May direct the work of system administrators, overseeing system and resource optimization, user assistance, and security protocols. Job Qualifications: Experience with DoD's defense-in-depth architecture and cybersecurity protocols.
Familiarity with IA/CND policies and procedures.
Proficiency in network troubleshooting, performance analysis, and security implementations.
Ability to integrate new applications, security patches, and equipment into existing infrastructure.
Experience in disaster recovery planning, backup solutions, and network
Strong problem-solving abilities and risk assessment skills.
Ability to work under general supervision, reporting to a project leader, supervisor, or manager.
Proficiency in a variety of systems administration concepts, practices, and procedures.
Creativity and latitude in troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.
Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and recommendations to management.
Must have DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE certification Education/Experience include: Bachelor's degree; OR
Associate's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR
At least 60 semester hours toward an Associate's or Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR
6 years of experience in a relevant field.
Additional industry certifications may be considered as experience substitutes based on relevance. Position Type: Full time position Clearance Type: Requires a current Secret clearance.
