The Job
  • Ensure the performance, security and integrity of the network
  • Recommend design, specify, configure, install, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware, software and telecommunication services
  • Provide enterprise level network management for multiple sites and support for a community of 50+ users
  • Oversee, set-up, and troubleshoot communications between network resources
  • Perform remote and onsite system monitoring
  • Propose and implement system enhancements or upgrades to improve performance and reliability of the system
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, proxy servers, SSL communication tunnels, IDS/IPS, terminal server environment, IPSec and patch management
  • Manage DNS, DHCP and VPN environments
  • Establish and maintain network user administration, file storage, and security
  • Perform system backup using CommVault in conjunction with tape backup, tape libraries and disk arrays
  • Provide network automation using scripting
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems experienced by the users
  • Specify and setup personal computers, workstations and peripherals as needed
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administering the network
  • Provide Microsoft SQL Server database support
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to network hardware, software, security and backup
  • Provide Telecom and Phone system administration
  • Assist as an IT Representative in the computer validation process when necessary
Work Location
  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Science or Information System Management or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft or Cisco Certification a plus
  • A minimum of 7 years overall experience in the information technical field including
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a production corporate IT environment performing network administration/management duties
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role on IT infrastructure projects
Additional (nice to have) Experience:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Computer System Validation
  • Regulated industry experience. e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GCP
  • Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning
