Position Summary / Primary Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to oversee and manage our company's IT infrastructure, systems, and team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the organization. This role requires a combination of in-person and virtual work, with some responsibilities needing to be carried out on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to align IT initiatives with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring all systems, networks, and infrastructure function smoothly and securely.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
2. Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the company's data, networks, and systems from potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure the timely completion of IT projects and support requests.
4. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's objectives and support business growth.
  • Track emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance the company's systems, security, or service delivery.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to improve the company's IT infrastructure and operations.
5. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with external vendors, service providers, and stakeholders to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of IT services and products from third-party providers.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and leadership to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate support.
6. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization can recover from potential IT disruptions.
  • Regularly test and update recovery procedures to adapt to new risks and changes in technology.
7. All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • Strong background in user support and IT service delivery in high-uptime environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, systems, hardware, and software.
  • Demonstrated experience leading IT projects across multiple locations or remote environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with strategic planning, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Must have Driver's License in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native environments, including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and M365 ecosystems
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Occasional travel to various office locations across the state of Hawaii.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, occasional evenings and weekends

Pay: Starting at $75,000 annually, depending on experience
