Network Administrator

Job Title: Network Administrator/Engineer Position Summary: The Network Administrator/Engineer provides technical and administrative support for the AIU and client school computer networks. The focus is to ensure stable operation of the network through proactive systems management and security patching. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Member of the Technology Services Change Advisory Board (CAB).

• Initiates requests for change to the Technology Ecosystem based on organizational need.

• Analyzes risk, financial implications, and scope of requested changes

• Provides input on change schedule and liaises with impacted parties.

• Updates change log with progress, including actions to correct problems and/or take

2. Installs and configures network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues

3. Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

4. Monitors computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks

5. Performs network design and capacity planning

6. Assists in development and design for new or renovation network infrastructure

7. Provides support and is an available resource for the Technology Services Department and staff throughout the AIU, as needed.

8. Actively searches for solutions that can be implemented to improve daily operations, create workplace efficiency, and promote operational awareness among employees.

9. Reachable by cell phone to provide support after hours, if needed.
