SUMMARYWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our infrastructure team. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our organization's network infrastructure. You will be involved in the setup, configuration, and support of network devices, ensuring their security, stability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in network administration and be eager to continue growing in the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Setup, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and software (monitoring tools, management tools, etc.)
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the system remains secure and operational.
• Configure and deploy network equipment for network deployments.
• Provide technical support to internal teams or end-users in troubleshooting network issues.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for internal reference and troubleshooting.
• Test and deploy new networking technologies and improvements.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and provide support during outages, upgrades, or disasters.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware in a Cisco laden environment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of operating systems pertaining to network troubleshooting functions.
• Familiarity with network security principles and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Education
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience
• 1-5 years of experience in network administration, IT support, or a similar role.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCENT and/or CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
