in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas. We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable

Network Administrator to join our team. This is an on-site position based in Aurora, IL.

As a key member of Technical Services Department, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of

network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications, hardware/software and peripheral

systems as it relates to the roles & responsibilities outlined below.

This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and will work closely with the Senior

Network Administrators, other IT staff and end-users. To be successful in this role, a solid

understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to administer and troubleshoot networked

devices are needed. This position requires excellent technical, customer service, and organizational

skills.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support network administration (including endpoint backups, access control, user and endpoint
  • administration, e-mail and internet access, peripheral systems, and applications support).
  • Hardware and software administration to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
  • Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and
  • implement solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, ethernet networks, network cabling, and
  • other related devices.
  • Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems,
  • and other applications.
  • Network monitoring for availability and performance issues.
  • Perform network and system maintenance programs.
  • Deploy and configure network hardware and software per change management standards.
  • Document network problems and resolutions for knowledgebase.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with Network Administrators.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong knowledge of a Windows server and desktop environment.
  • Knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
  • Ability to support network peripheral devices.
  • Working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop
  • technologies.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by
  • the network.
  • Ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.
