The
NetSuite Software Engineer will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our
NetSuite implementation and customizations. This position will also complete projects requiring the design and development of integration projects with the NetSuite system. The maintenance of NetSuite includes configuration, data integration, troubleshooting and customizations. This position requires excellent logic, communication skills and cross functional teamwork in order to best understand end user's needs, and to translate these into system configuration and design.
A NetSuite Software Engineer will be responsible for:NetSuite Systems Administration- Perform configuration within the NetSuite environment using forms, fields, custom records and workflows to manage business process requirements.
- Support unit and integration testing, including defining test scenarios, writing test scripts, and ensuring compliant test documentation.
- Maintain knowledge of NetSuite functionality, customization, and integration best practices.
- Plan, review and manage change configurations and customization requests.
- Provide ongoing Level 1 support to end users and act as liaison with NetSuite support.
- Support end user requests for new saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Maintain proper system access for all roles in the environment.
- Develop, test, and deploy customizations and new functionality as business requirements change.
Business Improvements and Enhancements- Manage business improvements and enhancements for processes managed on the NetSuite platform.
- Collaborate with users to document business requirements and design innovative solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspect of the organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user and business needs.
- Manage business improvements and enhancements for processes managed on the NetSuite platform.
- Participate in cross-functional work sessions with both business and technical teams to capture organization needs and required systems features.
Interdepartmental Coordination and Support- Identify, monitor, and communicate project risks and issues to the internal NetSuite committee and consultants.
- Create end user training materials and deliver end user training.
- Work with technical consultants to design, develop, test and deploy solutions using NetSuite standard tools.
Requirements for success:- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or IT/IS is preferred.
- Experience as a software engineer is required.
- Experience working with NetSuite is preferred.
- Experience with the following Technologies: SuiteScript, Javascript, SQL, XML .Net/C , Visual Studio
- Software estimation skills.
- General understanding of software usability, Design Patterns, N-tier architectures, Web services, and SQL Databases with the ability to create robust software designs that meet the business requirements.
- Working knowledge of development methodologies, including Agile
- Project exposure to developing .Net windows and/or web applications using Visual Studio a plus.
- Good working knowledge of general accounting practices as well as common of business processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate inputs and ideas within collaborative ad-hoc design sessions, presentations, and in written form to a range of audiences with wide ranges of technical knowledge and ability.
