Role Overview
We are seeking Neonatology Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who have completed a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program for locum tenens opportunities. Due to an extreme staffing shortage, the need is urgent, and we are looking to fill approximately 50-55 shifts per month.
Responsibilities
- The role involves hospital-based work in either 12 or 24-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7am-7am).
- Providers will work both at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Providence Portland Medical Center.
- The environment at Providence St. Vincent involves working with smaller and more critical patients, making it slightly more intensive than Providence Portland.
- NNPs will perform unit-based support, attend deliveries, and carry out all necessary procedures.
Patient Load
- High delivery room volume experience is preferred.
- St. Vincent: 3,000 deliveries
- Providence Portland Medical Center: 4,500 deliveries
- Patients per day:
- Providence St. Vincent: 22
- Providence Portland Medical Center: 10
Qualifications
- Facility requires providers to be board certification eligible.
- Providers with IMLC licensing are not eligible.
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days.
Additional Information
- The trauma scope is classified within level 1 or level 2.
- Patient encounters per shift range from 10-22.
- The facility is classified as pediatric level 2.
Necessary Certifications
- Candidates must possess specified certifications as determined by the hiring board.
