Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology (Permanent)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join a leading healthcare team in Kansas City, MO. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to provide advanced, compassionate care for neonates in a high-acuity Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in managing critically ill and premature newborns and supporting their families through critical stages of development and recovery.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care to neonates, including physical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice.
Educate and support families on neonatal conditions, care plans, and discharge preparation.
Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice development.
Participate in neonatal rounds, conferences, and continuing education sessions.
Qualifications: Current and unencumbered RN and APRN licensure in Missouri (or eligible for licensure).
Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) through NCC.
Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited NNP program.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience preferred; new grads with strong NICU rotations may be considered.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
