Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Full-Time

NES is seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our exceptional team in scenic Elmira, New York. We re looking for a highly skilled, collaborative NNP to provide top-tier care in our Level III NICU.
Position Overview:
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will play an integral role in the care of critically ill newborns in a Level-III NICU. You will provide 24-hour, in-house coverage, including transport call, attend high-risk deliveries, and assess and treat neonates in the NICU. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, high-energy environment, and you ll provide services that include conventional ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU with a 20-bed capacity, averaging 1,500 deliveries per year and nearly 300 NICU admissions annually.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and offer immediate assessment and care for critically ill newborns.
- Provide 24-hour, in-house coverage, including transport call, for neonates in need of intensive care.
- Work with a team of highly skilled professionals, including pediatric specialists, and benefit from strong nursing support.
- Care for neonates requiring conventional ventilation, HFOV, and other complex neonatal interventions.
- Manage and support the transfer of 15-20% of NICU admissions from surrounding hospitals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of current, direct Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) experience (excluding RN experience).
- Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is REQUIRED (no other NP certifications accepted).
- New York State license or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a team-based environment.

Submission Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing REQUIRED.
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) REQUIRED.
- New York State license (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED.
- 2+ years of experience as an NNP (excluding RN experience) REQUIRED.
